ACOS: evidence preparation and human review

ACOS helps individuals organise evidence and share selected compliance dimensions with a recipient. Verifier teams can review evidence, record decisions and retain records. A completeness score is not proof of identity, a compliance certification or an employment eligibility decision.

Start with your role

Choose the task you have today. One account may have multiple roles; selecting a role does not grant access to someone else's evidence.

Individuals

Workers, professionals, freelancers and people preparing for a tenancy: start with a pilot profile. Choose the relevant sector and complete the requested sections in Compliance. Review missing details and dates before sharing. You do not need to fill every section for every recipient. Ask the recipient which evidence they need.

A useful first outcome is a saved profile with a clear list of missing information. Before sharing sensitive evidence, check the policy status below. A high score does not prove the information is true.

Businesses

Open your business workspace and select an existing business or prepare its company details. Add the evidence required for the business purpose. Keep personal evidence in your personal workspace. Existing membership determines which business records you can access; registering a company name is not proof of authority to act for it.

Verifiers

Employers and recruiters: use the verifier workspace. Follow your team's access process, choose applicable requirements, and review a share addressed to you or your team. Inspect what is missing, the evidence source and when a check was recorded. Request more information where needed, then record your own decision. An auditor's access is for reading, not making decisions.

A link received by email requires sign-in with the addressed, confirmed email. If unavailable, check the signed-in account and ask the sender to confirm the recipient or issue a new link. An expired or revoked link cannot be restored by signing in again.

Advisors

Accountants and professional advisors: use the advisor workspace for authorised client relationships. Review information the client has supplied and identify what else you need. An advisor relationship does not permit unrestricted access to every client field. Automatic annual accountant sharing is not promised; confirm the recipient and purpose for each handoff.

Housing

Tenants can prepare relevant evidence in their personal profile and share only requested sections. Landlords can use their properties workspace where their account supports it. A shared profile does not replace applicable right-to-rent checks in England or determine tenancy eligibility.

Regulators

Regulators and auditors need provisioned access to the regulator workspace. Review only the records authorised for your scope. This is not an open public register. An audit result can be unavailable or fail; neither is a successful verification. No regulator endorsement is implied.

Developers

AI application owners can use the AI applications workspace to organise application information for human review. Automated classifications are not a legal assessment.

AI connector and Chrome extension workflows are under evaluation and are not publicly available. A possible first use is an authorised summary of missing requirements, evidence sources and freshness, with a link back to the app. No automatic employment or tenancy decision is proposed. Availability

The public offer is a Free Pilot for self-declared profiles. Paid tiers are waitlists. Provider checks require configured, tested providers and appropriate access; a provider listed in the architecture is not evidence of live availability. SIA checking is manual. Open Banking, biometric identity checks and HMRC integrations are planned, not available.

Understand scores and provenance

The profile score is the simple average of saved dimension scores. Individual dimension completeness gives required fields 70% and optional fields 30%. Other readiness and multidimensional views use different formulas and must be interpreted in their own context. A score does not prove that evidence is genuine, current or sufficient. Review self-declared, document, provider and verifier sources separately, together with results and dates. Imported or historic provenance requires independent validation.

Share deliberately

Select only the dimensions needed for the recipient's purpose and choose an expiry. Sharing currently selects dimensions, not individual fields. The recipient must sign in with a confirmed addressed email or belong to the addressed verifier team. Empty, expired and revoked grants do not authorise access. Revocation stops subsequent shared access; it does not erase copies already retained by a verifier. Contact the recipient about retained records and the applicable policies.

Re-sharing a Trust Package replaces its single recipient link: the previous recipient and old token lose access. It does not create an additional independent grant.

Checks and decisions

ACOS prepares evidence for a human decision. Employers must perform applicable checks using the proper process: right to work and private security licence. Completing a field or obtaining a high score does not replace those checks. An attestation records a person's statement; it is not a cryptographically signed credential or a guarantee of permanent retention.

Freshness and monitoring

A Last Verified date reports a recorded check, not a promise of continuous accuracy. Monitoring jobs have configured schedules, batch limits and provider dependencies. There is no blanket guarantee that every field is checked every 30 days or that every lapse triggers an immediate alert. Review stale and missing evidence before relying on it.

Regulator access

Authorised regulator exports can contain identifiable candidate records within their scope. Cohort thresholds do not make an export anonymous. Audit-chain checks can fail or be unavailable; a successful hash-chain check is not an independent signature or external trust anchor.
